Paris Fashion Week's spring/summer 2027 season opened on September 28 and runs through October 6, with 68 runway shows and 34 presentations on the official calendar. Belgian designer Julie Kegels, who recently won the LVMH Prize, opened the week with deconstructed, flowing pieces.
Dior's Jonathan Anderson gave the house's codes a romantic update, with silk flower petals cascading from models' hair and draping over one shoulder; Jennifer Lawrence was among the guests. Maison Margiela's collection drew on bird imagery, including dresses lined with airbrushed birds. Rihanna attended two shows on the first day, Matières Fécales and Dior, and Saint Laurent's front row included Rosalía, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Rosé.
Beneath the Eiffel Tower, L'Oréal Paris staged its public "Le Défilé" show, with Kendall Jenner, Heidi Klum and Simone Ashley on the runway and Celine Dion making a surprise appearance to close the show with "I'm Alive."
Off the runway, W Magazine and Bloomingdale's hosted a dinner, and Tiffany & Co. marked a new four-year partnership honoring designer Jean Schlumberger. The season was expected to close on October 6 with Louis Vuitton.
