London Spring 2027 Backstage: Beaded Brows, Faux Tears and Bubblegum Pink Lips

London Fashion Week's spring/summer 2027 beauty looks leaned theatrical, according to Dazed's backstage guide. At Simone Rocha, Thomas de Kluyver arranged beaded brows like floral arrangements and paired them with scarlet lips and warm-toned lids, while Ama Quashie added short, rounded red velvet nails.
At Chopova Lowena, Lauren Reynolds created wispy lashes that grazed the temples, leafy face tattoos and gloopy faux tears. Di Petsa went further: Emma Regan added realistic tears while Leigh-Anne Pinnock sprayed artificial milk over models' faces. Alexander McQueen's smoky cut-crease in purples and blues, by Daniel Sällström, came with metallic, tear-drop-style nails.
Softer notes appeared as well. At Ashley Williams, Ana Takahashi used a matte base with bubblegum pink lips, and Ciara Ip created chrome and terracotta manicures. Paolo Carzana's show shaded faces to look ghostly, Yuhan Wang's included sponge-painted lace details in blush, and Francesca Lake kept makeup minimal with no mascara so colorful wigs could carry the look. At Dreaming Eli, Carly Utting went for sepia tones and a grey lip using MAC's Lip Pencil in Stone.
Across the shows, makeup was used for storytelling as much as polish.
